VideoMate is a Windows application that can be installed in the easiest way possible, being also very easy to use, in spite of the many options available in the menu. When launching the program for the first time, the user will be guided through a series of steps which involve adding some information regarding the video rental store, rental hours, prices for every type of movie and other such information. After completing it, the user will be presented with a complex interface, in which he can add his movies. Every title added can contain a lot of information, like its name, genre, acquiring date, actors, comments and price. Having all this information available for each movie, it's easy to look for them in the future, just by entering a part of the title or the name of an actor which plays in that movie.

After adding all the movies into the database, one can start adding customers. Each customer can have his name, address, phone number, credit card information added to the program. After this, the user can easily add rented movies into the program, together with the user that rented them.

When a rented title is overdue, the program will easily state this, using the red color. Using the configuration options, the user can set the program to send him an SMS message when a movie is overdue. Besides that, a password can be set, for protecting the software's settings.
